IT support and networks for businesses in Malta

What working with us actually looks like

Most of our IT work is for businesses that cannot afford to be down. That shapes how we do it: we look at the whole setup before quoting, we put the price in writing before anything starts, and the people who install it are the people who handle your tech support afterwards. We have been doing this in Malta since 2005.

One quote, agreed up front

We look at what you have, tell you what is worth doing and what is not, and put a fixed price in writing. No hourly estimates that drift, and no work starting before you have agreed what it costs.

Supported by the people who built it

When something goes wrong you are not explaining your setup to a stranger. The team that cabled the office, configured the firewall or set up the extensions is the team that picks it up.

Remote first, on site when it matters

Plenty of problems are solved remotely the same day. Cabling, camera installs, server work and anything physical is done on site, by us, rather than passed to a subcontractor.

Built to be scalable

Networks, phone systems and servers are specified so they can grow, and can sit alongside our hosting and VPS servers where that suits better than hardware on site. Adding staff, cameras or extensions later should be an extension of what is there, not a reason to start again.

How quickly we respond

These are the timeframes in our terms and conditions, not aspirations.

Enquiries

We come back within one working day with a clear proposal, pricing and timeframes.

Urgent maintenance

Urgent maintenance and callouts are carried out within one working day.

Service calls

Calls for service by our technical crew are answered and taken care of within a maximum of three working days.

Worth knowing

Diagnostic time is chargeable even where a fault cannot be resolved. We tell you that before we start, not after.

Common questions

We focus on business and corporate clients, but the size that matters is the setup rather than the headcount. A five person office with a server, cameras and a phone system is squarely the kind of work we do. Tell us what you have and we will say honestly whether we are the right fit.

Enquiries are answered within one working day. Urgent maintenance and callouts are carried out within one working day. General service calls are answered and dealt with within a maximum of three working days. These are the timeframes written into our terms.

Both. A lot of issues are resolved remotely, often the same day, which is faster for everyone. Anything physical, such as structured cabling, camera installations, access control or server work, is done on site by our own team.

We look at the requirement first, then put a fixed price in writing before anything starts. You will not get an hourly estimate that grows as the job goes on.

Maintenance, diagnostics and attempted data recovery are chargeable even where the outcome is not what anyone hoped, because the time spent investigating is real work. We are upfront about this before starting so there is no surprise on the invoice.

Yes, and that is usually the point. Structured cabling, wireless, switching and firewalls, CCTV and access control, VOIP telephony and local or cloud servers are all handled by the same team, so nobody is blaming another supplier when something does not talk to something else.

Yes. VOIP systems can be self hosted or cloud hosted, and staff can use a desk phone, a softphone on a computer or an app on a mobile. Extensions work wherever there is a connection.

That is what the consultation is for. Tell us what is going wrong, or what you are planning, and we will tell you honestly what is worth doing and what is not. If the answer turns out to be software rather than hardware, that is what Base356 is for.
